I emailed whitmore last Monday asking if they could hold the splash for me, and bring them to the swop. He only had one splash marans and one splash ameraucana, but he held them and all I had to do was pick them up.

Two weeks ago I emailed them about their splash inventory and reserved that weeks hatch. I got 3 splash, 3 blue marans and 1super light blue ameraucana. If you live close enough you could just email Will and reserve them to pick them up?

Everybody OK with these terrible storms? The news just reported a tornado on the ground with injuries over by Eldersburg/Sykesville/east of us....kids were making noise and I didn't hear the exact location.

It's about 15-20 miles north of us, but it's really eerie outside. We're in the basement...

We got next to nothing. A few rolls of thunder for about 15 minutes and light rain. That was all. I got drenched in DC but not in Frederick.

Since we are new backyard chicken owners, and have recently added new birds to our flock, I wanted to get some input on what my birds "poop" should look like. I've noticed the newer birds areoccasionally having loose "poops". Should I be concerned??

Hi. I"m new to chicks too. I had the same concern,and got some Probiotic powder from The Mill to put in their water and it appears to have helped them.

Already gave them some yogurt...

I am new to chickens too....but Yogurt is what I do when I seen loose stools and that always seems to fix it.
