Hey y'all. Does anybody know of anyone in SoMD that breeds buff orpingtons? I may get them from Meyer but was interested to see if I could find them local first and avoid the $36 shipping.

Our farmers and planters in Salisbury MD is going to have buff Orp chicks on the 15th this coming Friday. I don't know if that is too far for you. I'm getting some myself from them

Yeah, I wish they were closer. That's about an 8 hour round trip! Thanks for responding though. I guess I'll continue to check around, might even go with barred rocks if I can't get and orps. Anyone know of anyone local to SoMD that breeds BRs?

Yeah, no luck yet. I may have to check the surrounding areas as well.
Those are pretty common breeds, are the feed stores still carrying chicks?
I have to look and see. My local TSP didn't seem to have any one specific breed though A few weeks ago.
Farmers and Planters will have chick until the end of June.
