mash?

what is mash? I know what crumbles and pellets are, never seen mash.

I think layer mash and layer crumbles are the same thing, just different name.

I was under the impression that mash was layer crumbles moistened. Could be wrong

Feed terms are "regional" so one term may not mean the same thing from one area to another. This is how I understand the terms:

Mash is a milled product made mostly of grain.

Pellets are further processed mash extruded into a pellet shape.

Crumbles are also processed thru extrusion but have broken into smaller particles.
