Well, in that age bracket, sex is a good guess in Silkies...but I am local and we'll handle any birds that are miss-sexed!!

My husband works in Belmont...no more than 45-60 minutes depending on the time of day.

He probably would do that...but he's in work very early (6am-2pm)...just couldn't leave a bird in the truck on a hot day.

thank you all.. i thought i had subscribed to this post and i didn't, i ended up getting 3 from a local guy (2 golden comets, and 1 NH red) the NH red isn't laying yet, the other two just started... oh man the extra eggs i have now... passing them along to family, friends and co-workers, and i still fill my fridge.... and i love every minute of it.
