Thanks for the offer, your so very kind, much appreciated, but you would have to pry his collar from my fingers and probably take my kids along with him because they fought over who got to have him sleep in their room last night, I won and ended up getting up with him at 0400 to take him out to pee and bark at the evil neighbor,(I knew I loved him for a reason),and today, when my ex went into the house, and then came out the back door wearing a hat and carrying a hammer, walking towards the kids,(he was going to fix the fence), the dog got between him and the kids and raised his hackles and started barking and growing and raising such hell, that my ex had to take off his hat and lay down the hammer! It was the coolest thing to see, and my kids have all pulled his ears, rolled all over him, run around him acting goofy, and he just slobbers on them and loves on them.
So, I dont think he will be moving anytime soon, and he has been totally uninterested in the chooks and goats, though they are totally interested in him.

Blukote is much too harsh, it would dry his lil nose. Baby suscreen sweat proof or Destin works well on our guys. They are NOT fond of it though!

He sounds so sweet! Reminds me of my Old English Mastiff. I still miss her (and the drool, and the snoring, the "lean", the broken split rail fence....). Giant breeds are the best!

Guys, you have all been soo helpful! I cant thank you enough, and let me tell you, this guy is such a find, I am still checking over and over to be sure he is still there, and still mine. I made pulled pork today, and even my best behaved boy, Earl, cant control himself around meat, and when I am cooking, and he is a teensy bit food aggressive. I had the big guy in the house when I got the roast out of the oven, and I thought that since all the men were home, I would test his behavior and see how well he would listen to me. I started pulling it, and he got up and walked into the kitchen, and his chin reaches the counter top, so he could easily have taken it away from me, but I just had to say,"no", once, and he went and laid down and looked at me. He watched me pull the entire roast, and he never growled at anyone, never tried to steal anything, and never tried to get in the way, even when I walked away from it and turned my back on him, he didnt try anything. To reward him for his outstanding behavior, I decided to give him some scraps, but I made him follow some directions such as; sit, lay down, and stay and then to add even more work to it, I decided to see how he would react when I gave a piece to the small, yappy, chiweenie that was sitting in the ex's lap. I told the big guy to ,"Wait" and I fed a piece to the chiweenie right in front of him,(the weenie bit me) but the big guy didnt even blink!!

As much as I love my Early, the chiweenie would have been extra chunks in his poo the next day and I would have been lucky to have escaped the carnage, so this dog is amazing!!
