apple-cider vinegar on their feathers. I hadn't seen the picture yet. Don't put applecider vinegar on that. I put oil of oregano on bleeding birds.

Im not putting her with any male until she is healed.

My question does remain though, how long does a quail stay fertile after initial mating?

Note - pickled quail does not sound appetizing, lol, my husband however might like that

I think the females stay fertile for up to 2 weeks after mating.

edit: here is an article for more details. up to 2-15 weeks but I presume after 2 the fertility would drop quite a bit.
