Stand on a scale, see how much you weigh. Have someone hand you the chicken, see how much you + chicken weigh.

Subtract your weight from the combined weight. What's left is the chicken's weight.

(If no-one is available to hand you the chicken, you can do it in the other order: weigh yourself with the chicken, let him go, weigh yourself without him. Same math to get the chicken's weight.)

Do you have hens, or even pullets, that he can live with?
He may need practice in how to be a chicken! Because we all know he isn't a person, but he may not be so sure.

I have found it interesting (and helpful) to monitor growth and have even identified a concern through weighing before symptoms of weight loss became clear & presented. Others have used a weight with a box on, as well as hanging weights with a bag attached :)

Good idea too, but do check the accuracy differential of your scale. Mine was 1kg (+/-) which wasn't particularly helpful when weighing a 550g chuck

He is getting supervised trips outside. Predators are an issue right now so I am hoping to fully integrate him when he is a bit larger. He has been around the chickens (crated) but has not socialized with them directly.

Good luck. I began a programme of integration about a month ago (a flock of 5 and a flock of 3). After a two week quarantine, I began the 'sight but no contact' which I planned to run for 2 more weeks. Long story short, one flock got out and reached the other within 12 hours (my fault, grr), and they've all lived happily since!
