Mating questions can Dad Roos breed to daughters?

I'm definitely not an expert but....sire to daughter and dam to son. This would be, I think, "line breeding" which I believe is common in backyard flocks. ???

Yes, it happens all the time. Unlike mammals, the chicken genes don't crumble at the first few rounds of inbreeding. There is some "inbreeding coefficient" out there, but I don't remember the exact rules. You may want to go into the "Breeds & Genetics" forum to poke around.

Ok I will go at take a peek over in the breed post Thanks
