Hello folks,
I'm new to chickens and I'm in the information gathering stage.I don't have any chickens yet. I'm interested in the best laying breeds are for the climate around Memphis. (I'm not in Memphis but across the river in Arkansas.) The birds will no doubt turn into pets, so best means longest laying, friendliest and fairly quiet.
My other hobbies? Ceramic sculpture, beekeeping, crochet/knitting. I also have four cats, one betta, a striped snail and a hive full of bees.
