I have four chuckars that I bought along with some chickens. What I was wondering is how old will the chuckar be when it gets to its full size?
Also, how big do they get?
Thanks!

The ones I have seen were bigger than some of my chickens, though that's not saying much

I would say they are bigger than your average homer pigeon. As for maturity, I'm not 100% sure. I believe it is 16 or 20 or 24 weeks, I don't remember for sure

I have been told that they won't lay eggs until the following season.

They'll be full sized by this fall with all their color. They will continue to beef up though and become more robust. Sort of like comparing a lanky full grown teenager to a prize fighter. I just lost one of my prized Swinhoe Pheasant males to a chukar the other day. He managed to sneak into the pen through a small hole and then proceeded to kill the pheasant. I was NOT happy.
