My Chickens just hopped into the neighbor's yard and their youngest dog just killed two of our girls and wounded one. She's sitting on my lap now, sleeping on a towel and very bloody. I don't know what to do, other than clean the wound and keep it from getting infected. I'm really scared she won't make it.

Clean wounds, warm dark place, that's about all you can do. You can put an antiboitic ointment on the open wounds and wrap them if they are there, but no telling what the internal injuries are. Figure out how they got over there and solve the escape issue. Good luck, chickens are tough.

Poor chicken. She might be in shock now which makes it important to keep her warm. Clean her off with warm water. If you have any betadine you can add that to the water. Look for any deep puncture wounds which may need flushing out with water. I like to use triple antibiotic ointment like Neosprin or the generic version. Squirt it right into deep wounds. Check her wounds every day for infection which would cause a bad smell different than the blood smell of the fresh wound.

She may not be interested in eating and drinking the first day or so, but if she is not drinking by tomorrow you may want to drip water over her half open beak.

Ok, So, she just pooped, but it was a sort of clear glop with white stuff floating in it...

She doesn't seem to have any internal injuries as of yet. She's breathing just fine, though all she's done since I cleaned and wrapped the wound is sleep in my lap or in any other comfortable area I put her in. I brought her sisters inside as well so that they don't have to bee cooped up and they won't be mauled by anything... When we first grabbed her out of the neighbor's yard, she was walking a little, but with a limp, probably because of the pain. it looks to be mostly ripped flesh, no puncture wounds that I've found, though a lot of her feather's were ripped off her wing.

Follow advice given in previous posts, but you have to be diligent in cleaning wounds, at least 4 times a day. Also watch for flies,if flies are going to be a problem, you may have to cover wounds. You might have to separate her, other chickens will probably peck at her wounds.

We already have her separated from the others, and I dressed her wounds to keep everything unwanted out of it. We'll make sure to keep it clean as much as possible. thank you

Thank you, everyone. so much. I wish there was more I could do for her, but I guess we'll just have to ride out the storm.
