Max size coop for about 20 birds

We've found who our initial supplier will be and will be starting with aprox 15-20 Heritage Buff Orps.
I would like to have the Max specs for the coop I need to build, as I do see the numbers fluctuating over time

I've found great advice on this site in the past, so I know this would be a good place to start.
Don't worry, I still have a couple months to plan everything out

There is no such thing as a "max" coop size. There are minimum coop sizes but in my opinion, you can never build too big.

My coop in-progress is 8x12 with 8 foot walls. Basically a garden shed and it sized for 24 birds. So you could probably get away with an 8x10 or so for 20 birds.

What I'll probably do, is build another separate coop for the ones I don't plan to keep around (meat)
