My chickens have been through upper nineties with a heat index of 110 F/47 C.
I've used a container with cold water for them to step in,
and fill a rubber bowl with water from the fridge and refill a couple of times daily, no ice maker on my fridge.
I also make a wet mash with water from the fridge on hot days. A couple of Tbsps dry crumble feed per chicken with enough water to make a very wet mash and serve immediately.
It helps get more hydration and feed intake to keep them in lay when hens usually slow down from reduced feed consumption during the summer. GC
