Dang that FOMO. We have a June hatch a long 😁 you could hatch for Father’s Day 😂
I think I’m actually done until we move. (I have said this before....but it feels real this time!) If I get a broody I’ll let her hatch 2 or 3 max. I’m completely maxed out on space while the house is on the market.

I have been hatching non stop for the last year, it’ll be nice to sit back and make plans for the new place!

I have had my incubator going for over 6 months straight. The new one has been only running for about a month straight. I am hoping I can take a break in June and just enjoy what I have. I am trying to get our meat supply up because I haven't been able to keep anything that I have hatched. It's been nonstop people wanting chicks. I think that the demand will only become stronger though in the next couple months. TSC cant even keep chicks in stock, hatcheries can't fulfill the orders they are getting, and its just a complete mess. Myshire shared a photo of how many order they have received and he literally had a huge push cart with 50+ egg orders on it.

Birds can only lay eggs so fast and so many times a day. I do not think anyone is prepared to supply the demand that is out there right now.

One week in with my Ameraucana eggs. Time is flying! I ordered 6 eggs and received 9. That worked out well because I tossed three obvious quitters this morning. The 6 remaining are growing and moving, so I'm confident they'll make it to hatch day. My electric company sent me a notice today that my area will experience a "brief" outage Saturday while they make some repairs from the tornado we experienced earlier this spring. So that's making me a bit nervous...
We lost power the other night for 3 hours! I took a hot water bottle and put it in the incubator, and covered it with towels. Temp briefly fell to 87F, then went to 95F and remained pretty steady. Today, 3 eggs have pipped! So, that seemed to work. Good luck!

Where did you get your breeders?
Friend of mine. They're probably going home soon I will need the room. If i wanted i know he would gift them to me. I'm very grateful to be in the circle of some really good bloodlines and to have access to them. Ima keep a trio and extra stag probably.
The blues are mine. That's my thing the blues (kelso a close second)

So you borrow a friends chickens?

How many chickens do you actually own?

I found a way to make hoop coops the other day and I am going to try it out in the future when we relocate to somewhere deeper in the woods.

I really love the blues and the Kelso's. I need to learn all about what you are breeding because they look very interesting to me. I feel left out somehow when I see all your gorgeous birds. Its like I need them in my life, but first I need to do a lot of research. I do not buy anything unless I thoroughly research it.

Something like that. You know what I do I've told my story a few times here.
