May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

If the temp was low you could definitely just have a later hatch. You don't always see the eggs rocking. I've had plenty of perfectly still eggs that hatched without issue.
Yes, I either have very little rocking from my eggs or I miss it. I also don’t see much movement after day 14. I only have 1 of 18 that I’ve seen wiggling, and it’s not one of the three that have currently pipped or hatched!

Day 19 for the Svart Hona eggs - have 1 pip this morning....at the wrong end. I need to find my small leg bands so that I can mark who came out of what egg so I can keep up with my nail test experiment. LOL!
Best of luck with your hatch!!!:caf

It’s exciting, specially because I thought they were going to hatch last Monday or Tuesday. It will teach me not to mark the date set on my eggs better.
We hatched WH eggs two years ago, along with some domestic mallards. Those WH were so so slow, 48-72 hr after external pip! What a nail biter! What day are you on?

I have 9 scarlet/range quail and more are zipping.

I don’t really know exactly. I forgot to mark the date correctly. I think we are on day 27. Because they look right for that day.

When I used incubators from styrofoam to homemade wood cabinets I took them as they hatched still wet aswell. They went right into the brooder no problem
I do the same. They dry faster and seem to be more lively when I do.
