May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

I can't long term because I'm in a neighborhood but I keep Peachicks a bit longer than other chicks because I want to make sure they're healthy before rehoming. I keep chicks for 2-3 days but peachicks I might keep for 1-2 weeks to make sure they're in tip top shape. I do have a couple friends that breed and hatch peachicks, so worst case I can check to see if they have any newly hatched babies.

I’m glad you can hatch them. I really want some someday when we have more land.

I traded my ducks yesterday for something new... take a guess. It’s furry

I feel like I'm cheating because I think I read rabbits somewhere. Lol! What kind are they? Pictures are a must.

Yes, they're fun babies! Too bad you aren't closer! The trio I hatched last year still follow my friend around in her homestead. She spent a lot of time with them and they're super people friendly even at almost a year old!

He said the mom was a holland lop but wasn’t sure about the dad. I love them a ton already.

Ducks need a big body of water, I don’t care what anyone says. that’s where mine went to a friendS who lives on a lake.

There’s two of them but they’re identical. They are so tiny. I had a bunny in high school at my ex’s house. It lived forever.

I kept my Muscovy I couldn’t part with her and they don’t require a body of water like other duck breeds.

I want to see pretty tail feathers in my yard.

Oh my gosh! My husband wants a Flemish giant. I told him I don't need a rabbit that I cant lift. Lol! We had a white new Zealand (I think that's what it was called) when I was a kid. Sweetest bunny on the planet! I think they're usually meat rabbits but they make incredible tolerant pets.

Well they're known for venturing off and they fly really well so you either need a really large property or a fly pen. She still puts them to bed at night because they allow it, lol, it's really not typical for peafowl though I don't think!

Good morning checked my 3 eggs last night and now I don't see any veins any more. is that a good thing or a bad thing. I have temp at 27.8 C and can't get humidity up at all past 58 I put warm water in last night and it went up but now its down again any sugguestions on how to get humidity up again would be great.

These won’t be for meat but I might breed them and sell their offspring.

Im hopefully going to get their hutch done today or tomorrow.

When I incubated eggs I saw veins on day 7, then the egg was really dark on day 14 because the chicks took up all the space. That might be why you don't see veins anymore.
