May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

Thanks. Images below. I'm in Chester, UK. Eggs were sourced locally so NOT shipped. Temp stayed around 37-39c up until lockdown with humidity at 45-50. After lockdown humidity was kept between 65 and 75 but temp spiked up to 41 for a couple of hours over the last 2/3 days. All were moving going into lockdown on day 18. I was using an HHD mini 24

I'm sorry! I don't see any internal pips, do any of them looks like they even got into the correct position for hatch?

None look in the correct position, correct? I can’t really tell. I had a few quail that failed to turn. By the time I noticed they were gone.

I better post this before the number changes again. Four in the back have hatched and a black chick did a what about me in the front from a white egg.

These are also good examples on some hobble options if it comes to that.

None look in the correct position, correct? I can’t really tell. I had a few quail that failed to turn. By the time I noticed they were gone.

That's what I'm thinking. They don't look like they were able to turn in the eggs. Possibly need lower humidity during incubation. This is common to see with sticky chicks. It's just a guess though.

Yea it’s hard to know what’s wrong. I just try more eggs then see if it was the breeder or me. If it happens twice with different breeders I know it’s the bator or something I did

These are from some assisted hatches that I did for various reasons but they may be helpful to show you what the correct position for hatch is.

I agree, I think that's the best bet.
