I’m not sure what laid it, it’s not my egg. I bought eggs from someone local and the gem was hidden in there.

I have a thing for certain colors. I am not a fan of the all white birds for what ever reason. I thought about going with the all black chicken the Acymi it what have you but I found out they have black skin too which just weirded me out.

I’m keeping it if it’s a pullet just to see what color it lays. I’ll name it Gem.

The Deathlayer Comet Cross will be called Comet if it’s a pullet.

Weirds me out too but I just got silkies. I’m not sure how I feel about them. I’m thinking about selling 6 of the chicks I have and only keeping 2. I’ll keep Chubs and another pullet.

I understand they also have black flesh and black bones. Lots of anti-oxidents. (Yuck! ) But they're unique... peeps like that.

True Ameraucana lay the turquoise blue eggs. Attached my eggs before I put them in the incubator.
Not Americana (subtle spelling difference) or Easter Eggers, they can lay blue eggs as well it’s just not consistent to the breed as they are actually mixed breed. Many Easter Eggers also lay the greenish eggs.

I have four Silkie chicks (dinosaur stage)... they're kind of cute in an ugly teenage-chicken way. I hope there's only one boy, but how would I know? I want them to sit eggs and brood babies. Also they're so FLUFFY! (Well, the adults are. Right now they're more like scruffy!)

My husband says Chubs looks like she got electrocuted I have 8 silkie chicks I think so I was going to sell some because I only want 2 of them. I don’t need a ton of silkies.

They look very cool
