May 2021 Hatch - A - Long

Today is hatch day. We had movement at lockdown but nobody pipping yet. Getting a little antsy

Watch a movie, go for a walk or solve a Rubiks cube.

I have the quail eggs figured out. Three out, one pipped. Two early quitters. Three due in a week.

That quail chick is messing with me. It’s breathing, but it’s still inside. Plotting.

I didn’t post.
4/4 quail are out, and the broody chicks seem to be out. I saw one.

So, power went out for an hour and a half on hatch day. Fortunately, the incubator has an auxiliary 12 volt input that did the trick until power came back on! Looks like 2 pipping. Not expecting chicks much before midnight

Went out to collect eggs tonight and 'Miss Hissy pants', mom named her, I called her number 52, because of her leg band number, was clucking up a storm.

I suppose I can expect more in the morning

Good evening just wanted to update everyone. Not one chick yet or pipps or chirping yet. Still waiting. Hopefully I get chicks in a few more days. Hoping I get one Born tomorrow morning on my birthday

My duck eggs finally arrived!!! Although if I get any to hatch it will be the first week of June.
