May 2021 Hatch - A - Long

I will survive my injuries, but I just added a third hen to the cage. I love broodies, but really need to wear gloves when moving them.

I have quail eggs that will be hatching in the beginning of May. I honestly have been just popping eggs in every day and lose track when they’re hatching I’ll be surprised though when I see pips!

Hoping to have lots of silvers this time!

I have 3 broodies right now. The newest one that’s never hatched got used to me checking for eggs real quick. i have a few that can get real nasty! I have thick gloves for them

Even when the winter is bitter cold, I hate wearing gloves. And a coat, but that’s another story.

I purchased a dozen Pita Pinta eggs from Sunbird Farms in Visalia, put them in the incubator tonight. Chick ETA, May 6 woot-woot!

This is my second try at hatching. Last year we put our own eggs in the incubator, without much success. I think our rooster was only covering a few of the girls.

Hoping for some good results, anyone else have Pita Pintas?

I used to have Pita Pintas & I loved them. They were beautiful & had very calm personalities. One of the hens used to break up fights between the cockerels! You will like them

Shipped eggs went in incubator last night, from 1 state over, 1/2 -aday. I just bought a diff LG incubator too. eggs not in it...
