When you use shipped eggs for incubating I know that you let them sit over night to rest, but do younot turn them for 2 to 3 days in case the air sack has come detached? Or is it ok to goahead and turn? I will be ordering eggs soon and this will be my first hatch ever. I must admit I am a bit nervous.

i'm going to listen in on this too.

i'm getting my second (and third) egg shipments today or tomorrow and i'm planning to let them sit point-side down in an egg carton for twelve hours,

i hadn't heard the don't turn for the first two or three days. i turned over the eggs from my first shipment from day one to eighteen.

You turn them, just as you would regular eggs. If you dont, the embryo will stick to the side, and then you really have a dead egg.

You should have an egg turner that keeps the eggs on its pointy end so the air sack will hopefully be in the right place. I have never had an air sack move during shipping, so Its never been an issue here.

Good Luck!

I let mine rest fat end up for 12 hours before I put them in the bator, then I didn't use the turner for the first two days. All the fertile eggs have developed normally with perfectly formed, attached air cells. They'll hatch this weekend, so we'll see..
