So far I have 3 baby chicks hatched from you and 3 of my own I believe, but not 100% sure on 2 of them.I have 2 buff colored babies, and I have a buff barred project pen,but I also don't know what colors would come from you.I think I must have accidentally marked them as SG,but I know I dont have lavender and the buffs are clean leggged. They are clean legged and 3 three I'm positive come from you are lavender feather legged.I have some Bobwhite eggs and some guinea eggs still left to hatch.None of my eggs from Tay Boe started. my ringnecks started, most of them made, but didn't hatch. All of the eggs of mine I put in made, and some started hatching(including a couple LA pheasants, but shrinkwrapped or something, not sure.I found my vents on the back of my hatcher closed a couple of times.I'm sure that probly had something to do with it,Although I had about quail hatch from it at the same time. But I usually get better hatches of the ones who make it to lockdown.I put 9 Reeves Pheasants in lockdown in the bottom of one of the bators, and 7 of them hatched with no problem. So I dunno.

The Showgirl pen has all SG roosters, and mostly hens, but not sure if I had already added the new silkie hens. But it would still carry the SG gene from the rooster.I wanted to try to add somefresh feathering and crown to the babies.

I have had great hatches with bargains eggs too.The first couple weren't too good, but it was colder when I received them,so I figure it was weather and shipping.I have been doing so much better with the warmer weather.Knock on wood, since I have about 5 dozen from her baking right now...lol...

The lavendar will be self blue cochins. Their type is just ok I am planning on working on it once I get enough blacks. I can't believe you got that many. I have been getting one self blue to 2 blacks. One of the self blue girls is favored by my black roo so I have gotten a lot of splits. I havent gotten anything from the red cockeral. Hes young still and on the bottom. Although I was wondering his foot feathering leaves a lot to be desired I wonder if he covered a non feather leg if it would even show up? I haven't gotten my genetics book yet so I only know what I have seen and read on here. I do know that self blue is recessive so those two chicks are full self blue.

I did just get one little yellow chipmunked chick that has no feathers on the legs. So I am very confused. I want to say it came from my polish because I occaisionally will let the two of them out to free range with the baby polish and silkie mixes, I have never seen the big boys any where near them but I guess its possible. I am waiting for its head to feather in to be sure. I know the vaulted skull isn't a dominant trait but the top puff of feathers is.

The pen consists of:

sq black cochin roo
self blue cochin roo
red cochin roo

sq black cochin hen
2 self blue cochin pullets
red cochin pullet
2 gold laced cochin pullets
wc black polish hen-----let out to free range occaisionally
paint polish pullet------let out to free range occaisionally

Sorry things went so badly

I ment to ask, are you sure they are clear? Marans eggs can be difficult to candle, even for me. Maybe the looked clear but were not.

Good luck @ the rodeo.I really miss those days.... What events?

Sorry! Still haven't gotten a picture - the stinker will not be still!!

My daughter runs poles and breakaway roping - occasionally she runs barrels but not her favorite event. My stepson teams ropes. We ended up getting rained out on Saturday Night. Ugh!

Oh! I've got eggs hatching now from loprettaerin!

Had 3 barred rocks hatch this weekend from Paquitagrl would have had 4 but one pipped upside down and eventially drowned didn't notice it intime. Other 3 are doing good. I think it was still good had 2 cracked eggs of get go and 5 went to lockdown so would have bee 4 out of 5 I like those odds.
