Highly thinking of trying to sell the flock I am starting work up to another chick dead unexplained only thing I can think of is it got slept on between my job and this im no longer happy nor can I afford another 136 for 3 chicks from the same place so ya idk I know there a place to post stuff for sell I just don't even know if I want to I can't stand to go out there tho this week has sucked

Wow!! Okay, you were robbed!! I ordered from Valley Hatchery. I paid for the one vaccine on all of them (Marakey I think). They send one extra just in case one died during shipping. They continue to check on me and how the babies are doing. I paid for 5 and ended up with 6 cause they all lived. My total was : $120

Don't give up just maybe ... look into a different hatchery? Mine is here: Valley Hatcherty

My pet chicken the refunded for the one that passed the one that's all a sudden only blind in one is hanging in there I'm just kinda over it all they were not cheap 😭
Yeah Im not sure I will ever order from my pet chicken again… I ordered 11 chicks, 8 salmon Faverolles and 3 Americaunas. 3 of the SF died with in 48 hours and one has a chronic eye issue that was present from day 1. The Americauna’s one turned out to be a roo and one died suddenly 4 weeks later. The one that died was small and I think it died due to failure to thrive.
So out of 11 chicks, 4 died and one has a severe defect. So 6 out of 11 were fine. That’s not great odds. They did refund me for 2 of the dead chicks and gave me a credit for the roo. But still…
Sorry this happened to you. But don’t give up just yet. Try another hatchery. Chickens are amazing and well worth the time and effort. Good luck to you! 🤗

Seriously ... try the Valley Hatcherty ... I actually looked at the alternatives and did due diligence for over 3 months, before settling on 3 front-runners. Then called each one and asked 5 random questions from food to aftercare and followup. The Valley Hatchery was my final choice.

Idk if my mental can deal with all this right now is the problem that's so lame they have such good reviews on there they were so expensive too I can't even to afford to replace the ones that didn't make it ..o I know this is not my first flock however my mental state is to fragile to be dealing with all this crap so for my sanity and my partners I may just give it up all together for a bit also sry you delt with the same from them it's bs we work hard for the little money we make for shit like this to happen

Ya I just can't do this right now I didn't even know if it was my roo baby that died and I've lost a lot now works horrid and I just don't have it in me to care for them I can barely care for myself I see them and just get overwhelmed and sad I've put to much money into this I just can't right now

6 chicks for $120 sounds like robbery too.

It's the shipping that's the cost part. I haven't ordered chicks online but saw what I was going to pay, bailed out and bought hatching eggs. Still expensive as of course I had to have the fancy ones, so I incubated a dozen and got six. Almost the same price. 🤷‍♀️
