May give up

I'd find your closest feed mill and see if they have a list you can order from. Many do and way cheaper as no shipping costs.

Chickens are therapeutic to hundreds of thousands of people so sometime just think about trying a different way.

It's the shipping that's the cost part.
No, it's still where you get them. Maybe it's that hatcheries shipping fees or more likely small order fees but I've ordered countless chicks in the past and never paid crazy prices like that.

I'm thinking their birds are over priced and from bad genetics or something oddly I worked some magic and now both my millies eyes are open but I'm still pretty burnt from all this and idk if I want to keep doing this right now

No like I really just don't have the mental in me to keep doing this right now it's just stressful and there's no other ways for me to try limited space and my income I can only do so much with about to go to part time because my job sucks and I'm trying to go solo

6 chicks for $120 sounds like robbery too.
Not considering everything they offer along with the chicks. The extra one, the food send to begin, the aftercare they provide, the followup. They also tracked the package and were the ones that notified me that the box was on my porch. Not a cardboard box either. Vet visit worthy.

They were one of only three that offered it. In the end it was the little things beyond everything else. So ... no, to us, it was very well spent. These birds are exactly what we asked for and doing better than I had expected.

Ya I was told mine to ask my post off they told me they would be dropped at my door I was at work freaking out trying to figure out how to get them my other half went and got them it has been an awful experience and I'm guessing I way over payed these were supposedly day hatched or something not sent with any food or water and in cardboard box

Idk if my mental can deal with all this right now is the problem that's so lame they have such good reviews on there they were so expensive too I can't even to afford to replace the ones that didn't make it ..o I know this is not my first flock however my mental state is to fragile to be dealing with all this crap so for my sanity and my partners I may just give it up all together for a bit also sry you delt with the same from them it's bs we work hard for the little money we make for shit like this to happen
What breeds did you go with?

:hugsI am SO sorry you have had this horrible experience. Nobody knows but you whether you can do chickens right now or not, it's entirely your choice. I can hear how sad and hurt and disappointed you are. Look up your state thread here and see if you can sell the ones you have remaining. Some day you may want to try again. And when you do, pay very close attention to the cost per chick. I never pay more than $3 or $4 per chick. I have bought from Meyer Hatchery and Mt. Healthy with very good results. I'm sure there are others. We will be here for you when you do. Blessings to you!
