1 baby out more pips going on!! Round 2 of hatching.Mostly my bantam mixes and 10 blrw from Jag this time around.Those little bantams are so tiny and cute..

Ducks are on lockdown. Here is to some hatching. I have had alot of bad eggs with the ducks.

my hatching is going right a long I have turkeys still have 3 to finish getting out and the chicks that are in with them decided to finally start hatching I had 6 turkeys hatched so far I think I see 3 or more chicks with more pipped this incubator is hard to see in real good because I had to add windows to it so they are just small and I have to use the flashlight which makes all the chicks run to the light....it hatches real good though so I never know until I take them out Saturday night seems like a forever wait. In my incucube I have 9 CM due today 6 are pipped so they must have checked the calendar and I just set 36 more eggs I must be crazy... 9 Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks, 6 Blue and Black Copper Marans, 5 Golden Cuckoo Marans, 16 Black Copper Marans. So my hatching date should be 6/10. These are all shipped eggs and a few have not so good air cells but most of them looked great before I set them now I don't candle until 7 days so I will be checking back on the 27th.

Sorry about the long posts yesterday people.

Weird day and I was frustrated.

If these hatches don't work out I still have my Wellies coming, so next month may be better.

But one little Polish and a couple of BCMs would cheer me up

Whooo Hoooo! We got another chick late yesterday afternoon, and this morning I saw one more moving!

I'll try and get some pics of the 2 that hatched up. I need to send them home with their owner before the weekend, so I'll do my best to get some pics of them before I send them off. I know their bantums, and I'm pretty sure their mutts. The only reason I know their bantums is student I got the eggs from said they only chickens they had were the small ones, so I guess that means they're bantums. lb

Here's to hoping I don't shrink wrap the one that's still hatching when I open the bator to take the other 2 out!

All and all I say this was a good hatch! Next year I'll hopefully be able to get them to hatch on day 21!

Ok, here's a pic as requested. Excuse the poor quality...my camera is out of commission, so I had to take it with my phone. I ended up with 7 of the mottleds...2 black, 4 blue, and 1 splash, plus a bonus bantam Favorelle!

My hatching eggs arrived today......
The PO football Team had them for 5 days, and we have 3 broken out of 14~!

Well I candled the eggs at school today. Oddly some look further along than others. I don't know exactly what is up there but I separated the eggs into two groups. Good and ummm??? I dun-no

I think we may get about half of those maybe. One of the girls dropped one of the eggs and it cracked so they got the chance to see what the embrio looked like at that stage. They thought it was pretty cool.

Mixed emotions. I looked under my hen at home and one cracked egg with a dead chick in it.

Not sure why or when he died. Probably the one that was cracked last night. I probably should have tried to help him out then but I don't know these things.

But, what was that I could hear. Babby chicks peeping. I assume from inside the shell so now I guess we just wait and see who joins the family tonight.

Day 21 for ducks and have 2 out or 5 left, got home today and one now has a crack along it's side. Nothing is leaking and no pips in it so i'm just crossing my fingers at the moment.
