Did your temps continue to go up to 102 or did it go back down again?

It stayed at 102 all day. I then got a big book and put it under the bator to lift it making sure all of the bottom holes were getting a good clear path for air and took the plug off. I'm not sure if that helped because it honestly stayed at 102 until the temp dropped outside that night. Then it went to 100 where it is now. I'm on day 20.

Now my house doesn't have A/C and it was real hot that day, so I don't know if that played a big part in it.

Might be the same for me. I'll just keep an eye on it. Thanks! And............YAY for your new chickies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, this is my very first post

. My hubby and I bought our first 6 Ameraucana chicks right over a month ago. We bought some Silkies and Cochins this past weekend and as of 6:30 tonight we added 37 eggs to the bator:D

Can someone help me here? Should I take this egg out and help it along? Every once in a while I see faint movement, but still no progress. It is only zipped halfway. Do you think it's stuck? What should I do?

How long has it been since you've seen progress? I would wait at least 24 hrs before intervening. I've saved a couple by helping and killed a couple by helping too soon. I also had to cull one I helped out because it probably should never have hatched. Soooo, I would say wait 24 hrs and proceed slowly with caution.

OK...I lost one. I just found it dead in a corner. It's the one who was dragging something behind him. The other ones are pecking at it so I am going to take it out. There is also another one that is pusing some yellow liquid all over the place. I think it's the one I helped earlier. He looks like he has a big sore on his back leg and he is leaving yellow puss behind him when he walks. This is a very bad pic, but tell me should I take it out and put it out of it's misery. He seems to be suffering.
