This sounds like a dumb question. Day 19 starts tonight, or day 3 since my incubator counts down to hatch day.

Im not exactly such what time. I think around 8 or 9pm. Does it matter what time I start lock down? Like if I do lock down and hour or 2 early? I mean I imagine it doesn't make that big of a difference. But its just that I have to candle them and take out the egg turner and I'm sure the kids will want to help so i don't want to wait to late to get it done.

Nope. A difference of a few hours shouldn't be a problem at all.

Alright so 13 eggs in lock down... 3 of the standards are questionable but I'll give then a chance for now.

I think they are the same thing. Big, Beautiful, Fluffy Birds I love them

Great color I can't remember if you said or not do you breed him? What color are the chicks?

Update: I have 7 eggs that are showing no signs, later today I am going to water candle them 1 Silkie egg and 6 Barred Rock eggs. I have 3 eggs that have pipped and are trying to zip. I seem to be having trouble with my Barred Rock eggs. So of the 34 that made it to lock down 24 hatched and 10 I am still waiting on.

Blues, they look so pretty. They are the ones that breed blue black or splash right? Becuase its a pairing gene not an independent gene like lavender or buff?

I have no idea. The picture is of the chickens my eggs came from but these are not my chickens. First time with blues for me x

I also have some due to hatch may 2nd and more may 9th
