May hatch-a-long

So all 3 of my boys got to watch both of the first 2 hatch. It was pretty fun was all stood there chirping for them and encouraging them. We will probably must the sebright hatching tonight. Then tomorrow when I get back from taking the kids to school I'll have to finish getting the brooder ready to move some chicks in. It's set up I just have to fill the feed and water and grab the cover out of the garage. So much eggcitement today.

I love your blue chick There's the possibility of a blue Maran from my current hatch. Now I really want one! Beautiful little chick you've got there.

Lavender crosses, a little lighter but they do look pretty blue. I don't think I would have known there was a difference if my friend didn't have both lavender and blue Orpingtons

Hi guys, I've been apart of this thread since the start. My homemade incubator malfunctioned while I was at school today. I'm really worried the eggs will be dead now
I put eggs in the incubator 3 days ago and I think the temperature dropped to 33 degrees Celsius (91.5 Fahrenheit) for 6 hours today!
Does anyone know if this enough to kill all the eggs?

Hatch #2 the kids named him Thunder Peeper... sebright is getting close and Milderds egg is the 4th to external pip. So much cuteness this one looks sorta purple to right now we'll wait and see it might have been the all white EE egg. It's one of the EE regardless.

You just have to give them a few days and candle them. That early on it might not effect to many

So today is day 13 I candled today and I found two that were very active I’m very happy to see these little chickies moving pics are on the way

What colors do EEs come in I’m super eggcited to see what color chicks I get

I have 5 different color EE ranging from all white to all black. Colorful ones are usually red or yellow multi color with all sorts of patterns. I have a yellow with black lacing but it also has lavender under feathers. So it will be super fun to see how some of my EE crosses turn out
