May hatch-a-long

Ok sorry totally freaking out right now, both with nerves and eggcitement. Of all 13 eggs there are only 4 that I really really super want to hatch be healthy and preferably be pullets (ok 1 of the sebrights can be a cockerel). Of those the pip egg is from my hurt mama chicken, she's an ee mostly white with a light splash of cream, I'm hoping for something lavenderish with splashes of black. The second I really want is mildreds, it was get last egg I know of before she passed she was or first hen a red and a stray my sister found on my moms front lawn, wet had talked about chickens for years even set aside material for a coop but it was Milly (and my sister) that got things moving. The third and fourth eggs are the remaining 2 sebrights, I just feel so sad that I only have the 2 hens and they need more flock mates... all the rest, well of course I still hope they hatch but I'll be happy as long as those 4 hatch.

Im sorta hoping my other egg (the internal pip) is from my all white ee, I'm afraid my black bettys egg didn't make it, she's a black austrolorp/ee, but ill hold out hope for that one too.

Day 8. Love these little bantam eggs. They sure candle good .

You COULD candle every day, but most don't recommend it. If you think about it, a broody gets up once a day to eat, drink & poop.

i might have been candling my bantam egg almost every day to see the little chick move in there

One out, several pipped. The one out is ee x partridge rock - meggan.

Four out - four pipped - one likely a blank.

We watched as one hatched last night. Pretty cool.

Morning everyone. No chicks yet looks like external pip might just be starting its zip this morning. And internal pip started working on its external pip this morning. No externals that I can see from anyone else yet
