Okay, this poor Wyandotte eggie...I went ahead and made a hole in the top and coated the membrane with olive oil. The veins are receded from the membrane but I can make out a small amount of yolk sac so I put some wet paper towel over the hole and put the baby upright in the egg carton with a moist paper towel over the area where I removed the shell. Chick isn't moving but that is normal if they are resting, right? I will take pics next time I check on the baby. Poor love. I wish I'd checked sooner...I hope this little one will be okay! Please pray for the tiny one!

They do rest. But you should see breathing and it should respond to stimulus.

It is better not to put the wet paper towels directly on the egg. Place them nearby and watch your humidity. As long as overall humidity is good, the oil on the membrane will stop it from drying out too much. Sending prayers and happy hatching vibes!
