In better news, Brunhilda has hatched her first few a day early

I can't tell how many there are, they would only come out one at a time. At this point I know there are at least three. There are 9 eggs under there.



Some of them were super new when they came out to say hello. They were still a bit damp.

I was just wondering. My cochin bantam hens eggs are due next week and I am wondering who is the daddy? She is separated from my EE rooster and when I let them out I haven't seen them successfully mate. It was her 2 week of laying when she went broody. I have had her for 3 months now and I got her from a breeding stock of black cochin bantams. Do you think that these could be pure breds?

It has begun!!! I have my first internally pipped serama egg in my Brinsea and it is officially under lockdown now (I stopped turning day 16 but wait for internal pips to raise humidity). My bantam BRs are due tomorrow, but the bator hit 98.6 degrees several times so they might be delayed. No internal pips yet but they are alive still. Moving eggs into the hatcher that are on Day 18, except for those whose aircells are still small.

I'm with you JnJmanning... so frustrated this month with my eggs...

I am glad I am not the only one. My 1st hatch, my own eggs, went 10 for 10, mutts of course...lol Pipped right on time, everything. But my shipped eggs, the ones I PAID for, nothing!
