I have a problem I believe!!!
I just put my eggs in last Friday, things are looking good for the most part but I have one eggs all dark inside!!! Do u think this egg will explode?
I've moved it away from the rest as best as I can but I'm afraid! I've been candling see lots of veins. This is the first time from shipped eggs that I am happily surprised. Got them from Dick Horstman he sent them all suggle in foam, thick foam.
So any thoughts on the dark one. I cannot see into the egg at all... You don't think there's a chick in there already to come out?!!
Thanks for your help
Melinda
Hi, I actually had this issues YEARS ago when we were on the farm. Our laying hen stole an egg from our broody hen, and it got put in the incubator to hatch. It was out in 10 days lol. Not sure if that's what is going on in your case, but I remember being shocked as a teen when I had one lonely chick pop out WAY before the rest. Thankfully we got him put under the broody same day as his siblings hatchedI have a problem I believe!!!

morning everyone, lots of action going on here.. yesturday was my day 21, out of 21 eggs in lockdown, i have 2 hatch so far.. 2pips, and 1 zipping right now..its been pretty exciting around here.
hi melinda, is it a pretty big egg.. you said you see lots of veining. hows the aircell is it small or pretty big..not sure i would keep it in there.. i would say if its a big egg maybe its a double yollker, but 5 days shouldnt be that dark.. maybe someone else with more experience can shime it.. i would take it out if it were me..
I do not see any veining in this egg... It's all dark inside the whole thing. And it's only a light tan egg.. That's why I'm so worried. It's a Banty egg! So, I don't know. I was thinking maybe I should get rid of it . I put it in the far corner but if its explodes it will def. effect the other eggs.
