Dang That is a shame about your Sussex. But you are correct. It has to be a fertility problem on the farm end. I think there is a roo who needs to be culled. That is if they are usung the eggs for hatching. Sounds like the Germans are gonna kick butt!

Yea jac I'm a lil bummed about them but maybe it's a signal from the chicken gods lol I wanted coronation Sussex and settled for the lights because with my unique situation with flyin and all the other variables I need the best eggs I can get to bring down so I don't want to ship them to my sons house where I stay when I'm home so I drive and pick them up and carry them like nitro glycerin all the way back down here u know I'm the chicken nut at the airport screening holding every one up because I request no X-ray on a bag of eggs man if looks could kill lol any hoot I'm happy so far and need to do a hard target search for coronations for my July trip ,,,,, what's up with ur pipper ? Don't want to sell him for the stew pot. You could have him if we are close................

alive is a good thing thanks to the chicken gods , has it pipped the shell yet or is it internal ? If you air cells have been growing correct she will be fine what time did she pip ?

Wish I was closer. I live in MO so pickup would be impossable and shipping would kill my chicken budget. Gonna keep a close eye on CL i KNOW someone will have a guy they don't want. I have 10 4 wk pullets to go with the older hen I have when they get a little older.

It has pipped the shell. I found it at 5am. Not sure when it happened. I can watch the shell move as it breathes....lol

can take up to 24 hours after first pip. they rest alot

Hey jac I just got a pm from the Sussex breeder ( also the GNH breeder ) and she said she will replace my eggs when I fly back in July all you guys need to put them feelers out for the coronations for me lol
