Congrats to everyone who has hatched so far!!!!!!!!!

I am expecting my hatch tomorrow. My temps got STUPID in my bator yesterday. We had a mare lose a foal (he presented ears first and nothing we or the vet did could get him out in time) this week and the mare was in pretty bad shape so I haven't watched things like I should have.

I had decided I had cooked them and then about an hour ago, my incubator started chirping!!!!!

I feel like I will be lucky if I get ONE out of my seven to hatch. Our first incubator hatch and I won't sleep tonight. They technically aren't due until around 11 AM tomorrow. But this is going to be a sleepless night.

Thank you for the pervious suggestions Friar_Tuck and jnjmanning.
However, unfortunately I don't have any ventilation holes where I can stick a straw. I am using a Brinsea Mini Advance for the first time and for those who don't know my dilemma, I am worried the water is going to be evaporated before they hatch. In anyones opinion or experience, do you think it is detrimental to the hatch if I open the incubator and quickly and add some more water during lockdown?

Yes I just put the sizzles in the bator with the new chick. I doubt it makes it till morning. It is very weak. I have it on a soft cloth in the bator keeping warm hopefully. When I went in to assist I grabbed the other 2 eggs and checked for life. I was correct, both died pipping. They had internally pipped but the wonky aircell prevented them from being able to reach the shell to crack it. Both were beautiful dark chicks. The chick that did pip just happen to get in the right spot. Still the aircell was so large the membrane on the inside of the shell wasnt even touching the chick for more than half the egg. I had to help remove almost half the shell. All blood vessels were absorbed and the yolk. So it was more than ready to hatch.
After these Sizzles hatch I will NEVER hatch shipped eggs again. If I cant drive to pick up the eggs or chicks, I dont need them....lol

Well they dont want you to open for fear of losing humidity, but if you have no water you wont have humidity. So its a tough call, one you will have to make. Is it worth the risk?

IF the chick lives I will be naming it Miracle! It looks to be shivering some, bator temp is only back up to 95. Uggggggh I hate feeling helpless!
