Hello! Thanks for the warm welcome to this site. I have 10 hens of multiple breeds and have been on this sitIe many times looking for advice or solutions to the never ending chicken questions. Figured it was time to register and connect with other chicken "Moms". I also have 2 cats and an Australian Cattle dog who's job is to herd the chickens into their coop at night. At least she thinks so and she's pretty good at it. I also sew and make mittens from felted wool "upcycled" sweaters as well as being a lifelong quilter. I'm a single 60 year old that has found new life with my little farm. Not my first time with chickens, but have not had any in about 15 years. My girls are this springs chicks and have all recently started laying. I love to read about everyone's chicken stories, remedies for chicken ailments and it makes me feel normal to hear that other people spoil their chickens as much as I do. I have enough knowledge and background to offer advice on some issues and look forward to listening to all that you can further teach me.
