hurricane Frederick 1979 we were almost 2 weeks without power
And in the years since it has been up 5 days without power for the different hurricanes
My son and his family went 5 days without power in Houston from hurricane beryl this year

Yep, I'm not stranger to that. As a Floridian we get hit quite often. The longest I've been was about 2 or 3 weeks after hurricane Matthew which was a cat 5 that skimmed us and still did tuns of damage. We were lucky though if it hit straight on my daddy who's a fireman had to stay cause his job and our critters had to stay too. If it hit right on they probably wouldn't be here today.
