I went through hurricane Hugo in Charleston in 1989. Not fun at all. Never again.

hurricane Frederick 1979 we were almost 2 weeks without power
And in the years since it has been up 5 days without power for the different hurricanes
My son and his family went 5 days without power in Houston from hurricane beryl this year
