oohh Jim.. this push to the end of the year has pushed some of the students to do things they normally wouldn't..and definately shouldn't.. mountains of paperwork.. I hate it. Sorry your school week had to end this way...

Oh, it was me this time. I made a stupid mistake doing a demonstration that is supposed to be a lab, but because of the dangers involved, I do it as a demo. We were looking at the colors caused by compounds when they are heated. I dissolve them in water and add methanol. Some didn't have enough methanol so I added more (at least 18 inches away) and the fumes ignited. I used the fire extinguisher and put it out right away but my administrator is always finding something to chew on me about. (This is after I was 10 minutes late this morning and 30 minutes prior to my fire we had a bad relay in the fire alarms and were outside until they disabled the system. ). I NEED summer vacation!
