May Online Hatching Egg Swap-Eggs should be sent

I got 25 Coturnix as a bonus along with my 5 Standard Bronze turkey eggs. One of the quail exploded in the incubator, and quite a few of the others were starting to ooze and crack, so I threw them all out. I candled the turkey, and only one developed-the rest were scrambled and starting to rot.

The second batch of eggs, I got 11 Crested Cream Legbars. They are due to hatch Wednesday-7 of them!

The PO must be really treating boxes roughly, or else they are getting too hot in shipping possibly.

The past few swaps have been bad luck for me too. I've been getting numbers like 2/24, 2/8, 0/12, 0/8.

Alex, hope the Ameraucana eggs I sent you are doing ok. Please let me know.

and the second set went to kim also, but that was a different kim (wolftracks) and they just sent out so i know they're not developing yet. LOL

I know! I am really excited to be able to sex them at hatch. I am hoping for 2 boys and 5 girls!

I bought some Norwegian Jaerhon eggs before I got these, but didn't get them until a week later. Amyable sent me 20 eggs (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and at 5 days, it looked like only 3 were developing.

I need to candle them again, but haven't yet.

i have only 5 eggs left from the swap... lot of them quit early and i had a couple of stinky ones... so hopin the ones left will hatch... lockdown this week... hope everyone elses is going good

I candled the last set and only 1 had developed to late stage and the others stopped developing about the time I candled last. So I tossed them all last night and cleaned out the bator. Only 1 guinea egg stopped developing. I saw movement in several of them but not all. I left all but the 1 in the bator and added some of my silkie eggs to that bator. I filled the other bator with more quail eggs of mine. The EE eggs I got where due yesterday. Two hatched that are under the orp broody and there are 2 under the partridge hen and another one under a sizzle hen and the 2 in the bator I saw no movement in. The ee's that hatched have pale yellow legs so they're not ee's after all. They came out of some pretty blue-green eggs though. There was a brown egg that was marke dom/a that hatched a very healthy chick. But all those where other swap eggs. Not from this swap. The po is hard on packages. We can thank the people that have caused the PO to have to xray boxes to make sure things aren't getting thru the mail that could harm others in one way or another.
