May Online Hatching Egg Swap-Eggs should be sent

I've found the more packing material that is used, the better. I like to make the box so it is bulging, if at all possible. Sandra Provost, on Facebook, uses moistened fine wood shavings for her packing material and people have hatched a lot of poults from her eggs. She has a doc in the Southern Chicks Birthday Bash group on her packing method.

I'll go check it out. Thanks. BTW I checked my list that has who I got quinea eggs from the other swap and I got yours first. The last chick hatched a minute ago. So thats 61/2 out of 7. The 1/2 got stuck while I was out and died by the time I got home. My humidity wasn't high enough. But great for shipped eggs

out of 18 eggs I had 3 hatch...2 black sexlink (both hens) and one easter egger.....most quit around day 14 .....

Geez, is that it???? Did any others at least form? I mean I guess since I have horrible hatch rates with shipped eggs these days, anything is better than nothing. But I was hoping a lot more would finish. Sounds like you need more eggs.

Did any others I sent out hatch or make it to lockdown???

One of the project eggs quit about day 14. It looked like the PO really shook them up. We'll see if the SPPR hatches. It is due tomorrow.

I also had horrible hatches. Of course it's always possible things could have happened in shipping, but most of the eggs that I candled were infertile. What a shame

Oh no. There were problems with the Icelandics? I don't have problems with them at home.

Mine are going into lockdown today! So far only 6 have made it. I tried to "patch" a small crack I accidently made on one egg. Hoping that one makes it through!
