are they sapose to look like that or did you get his bad side
lol well, i don't think anyone's particularly cute when they first pop out. i don't care who or what you are... once they dry off it's another story.

turkling's now in the brooder with the rest of the chickie babies and settling in just fine. it's funny, the quail are running around between her legs.

I just have never seen a freashly hatched turky there heads seem diffrent shapped , and I know what you mean you should have seen my son he was cute as a button from the minute he was born if you kept a hat on him , once you took it off though

he had a rather abrubt entrance and it cuase a big fat hematoma on his scalp sorta to one side and he looked like some sort of defective cone head with out a hat.
We need new turkling pics Please

well, sorry to say turkling didn't make it. her early entrance meant the yolk wasn't 100% absorbed, and apparently it caused problems. lost her this morning.

So sorry! Those poults can be kinda tricky to hatch and raise. I'm loosing one of my turkeys as we speak (about 8 weeks old) - she was fine yesterday, but today not good at all. My daughters favorite, so not so great.
