Hello! When I joined BYC, I pretty much thanked everyone for having me, and I didn't say much about myself. It looks pretty professional, so I'll use the sample template.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got 5 chickens from a friend last spring. I now have "gone through" more than 50 chickens. :D
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
10.
(3) What breeds do you have?
One Western Rustic hen, 2 Black Australorp hens, 3 mixed breed roosters, 4 mixed breed hens.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Ventilation research! We really wanted a well-ventilated coop.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like carpentry, snowboarding, and music. I really enjoy going to the mountains to snowboard.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I work part time at a machine shop. Our family owns 3 cats. I have owned many tropical fish, (RIP approx. 30 fish) lots of cats, and a Black Labrador dog named shadow. I've always wanted a Golden Retriever. :)

I am planning on ordering many day old chicks next year, some broilers and some layers. I also have 5 pekins on order, and Turkeys and Quail are on the waiting list.

Thanks for having me! :)
