Maybe we are related, what was your maiden name or your mama's?

Oh I love family history! I have traced one line of mine to the 800's

Fathers side
Cunningham/Angleton
Note: all the Angleton's in the US are related

Mothers side
Tucker/Litinhouser

Some fun stuff in my family history
My grandmothers family (Angleton) has royal lines to England and Scotland
My grandfathers family saved my grandmothers family
Shoe string relation to Daniel Boone not by blood just marriage
My grandma's step mother was related to John Dillinger (spelling?) My grandma remembered him hiding out with them.
There is more I just don't remember all the tid bits and all the books at in the attic

I always asking for your mother's maiden name was a pretty lame security measure, it's too easy to find out in this day and age of open information. Anyone who knows your name and has a membership in a geneology club can whatever information they want on anyone.

My maiden name: Livingston (still is too) from GA
My Maternal grandparents: Webb (from Wales)
My Paternal grandparents: one side Livingston the other side I have no idea I never met them, they never gave a rat's behind about me.

On my mom's side I have my family history back into the early 3 digits because we have a family historian in each generation in charge of keeping the records up and to date.
On my dad's side, mainly Cherokee, oral history and lost.

I had to go dig up the paper where I had my grandma remember names as far back as possible. My paternal grandfather was born around 1900 and my paternal grandmother in 1916. Both were born in Indiana and later moved to far eastern Illinois.

My mother was adopted and I don't use her given last name which was either Meek or Meeks and they were from Chicago.

On my dad's side:
My maiden name is Howard.
My grandmother was Padgett.
Great grandmother's name was Smith.
Great-Great grandmother was Bedwell.
Great grandfather's mother was Enochs.
My grandfather's mother was Hobson.

All fairly common names...

There are still a lot of Howards in Indiana that are related to me but I don't know any of them. We used to have reunions about 40 years ago.

My maiden is Sullivan - Irish
Mom's is Johnson and then Blackwell -- english

We really should get together and do some research!

We should, my dad's name was Willis Lee Livingston, he had a son Allan, not sure how he spells it though. His 2nd wife's name was Jeweline, not sure on that spelling, I'll ask my brother what the rest of the families names were, he knew them.
