I WOULD like to get the best food for my flock...the only place I can get the Mazuri product is direct from Mazuri. So a 50lb bag is $68, including shipping. OUCH! No TSCs or other grain stores have this or Purina duck. Amazon even charges more.
The Nutrina All Flock IS available locally, so I will try that brand, if recommended.
Thanks for all the feedback!
Thanks for asking. According to the vet, she is doing better. They are giving her calcium injections. He said she still laid a shelless egg this morning, but that she was finally eating (the Mazuri product, hence this discussion). How is your duck I don’t remember seeing an update?
Where can you get the Mazuri Layered Pelletts for $39 for a 40lbs bag? I'd love to know! Chewy has a 50lbs bag for just under $50. I feed the wild ducks where we live and I'm buying about a bag a week right now. At last count I think we have around 40-45 ducks, more now with all the babies. I've been feeding these beautiful ducks Mazuri for the past 5 years and they look so much bigger and healthier than when we first started feeding them. It's such a blessing to see these precious ducks come running when they see me step outside with their food. However, I need to find another option, maybe another food to mix with the Mazuri. Idk. Any advice?Yes, I swear by it especially the starter. It's worth it to me for two reasons. Tiny little pellets so much less waste. And the smell, their poo smells ooooooh so much better than flock raiser. I pay $23 for a 25lb bag. Also the adult feed floats, so if your feeding on water, it's efficient. $39 for a 40 lb bag. Because I am in a hot, humid climate again much less waste. That said, I have used flock raiser successfully for years, this is just a personal preference.
