I finalllly found a local place that carries this stuff. (woohoo!) What they currently have is the Maintenance. (I assume that they could order other Mazuri feeds if I needed it. I have 14 ducks (ages 12 weeks and 9 weeks old)- 11 of which will be layers and 3 drakes. I have goslings also- not quite 2 weeks old.

Is the maintenance feed ok for all of them? (the goslings are getting the Mazuri starter right now so when it's gone can I go right to maintenace?)

The ducks and drakes alllll stay together. So when the ducks begin laying in late August or so- can they stay on Maintenance and just offer oyster shell. Or should ALL the ducks (and drakes) go on the Mazuri layer feed?

It's $35 a bag- is that a pretty good price for 50# of Mazuri feed? Thanks!

zoowee, yes the maintenance is fine for all of them. you can get a bag of the mazuri starter and blend them until gone then go straight maintenance. when they are laying offer oyster shell for the calcium if you see any shell issues pop up. i can say we have no shell issues feeding it here. you deffinetly dont want to keep feeding starter until they lay because of the high protein levels.

Thanks guys!! I am picking some up this weekend for my ducks (3-4 months old) and was hoping the geese would be finishing up their bag of Mazuri starter about the time they could start eating the maintenance. I know how important it is to get the ducks at a healthy weight and proper calcium levels before they begin laying and I didn't want to mess that up. I appreciate your help!

I also use Mazuri for my ducks and now even my guinea pigs. I order it directly from Mazuri because if I keep the order under 100 pounds it is free shipping (not to mention the only place that carries it is 2 hours from me...pooh). You asked about price and I think the $35 is a good price. On the Mazuri site it costs $39.49 for a 50# bag of maintenance.
