My "rare" chick from McMurray turned out to be an EE. Looks like a pullet and She is really pretty. Not sure why it's considered rare, but figured maybe they added this one since I had ordered 2 EEs.

This is not the extra chick as we ordered with friends and the extras were black australorps.

Your EE looks very much like one of mine only perhaps a bit darker. (I ordered 2 of them, so maybe there is a 3rd one lurking in the mix among the unidentifieds) It is nice to see what mine may look like in the future. Thanks. Hear is my little girl. Please ignore my rag tag looking hands..... Too much time in the garden that week.

I think I will start a different new post to see if we can get more pictures of free rare chicks. That would be fun to see.

i dont see a big hairdo, so i think they just think they gave you a Rhode Island Red , but i really doubt it.
