I have to agree with Guinea:
I like Cackle...
I received around 250 birds from them this year ( 3 different orders ) and I think I may have lost one.. All the bird were/are healthy and I had no problem with them in fact I plan to put a order in with them in the spring for around another 75...

been ordering chicks off and on for 40 years from mcmurray, always been satisfied till last year.

ordered 25 straight run buff rocks, a few had splayed legs, on arrival, no big deal.

but at 16 weeks, they were the most ill shaped chickens i ever had, they ranged from the size of a pigeon to a rock that age ought to be, maybe 2 were nice looking pullets.

when i killed the roosters, i just went on and butchered the pullets too.

am planning on ordering from ideal this year. done w/ mcmurray, cause i feel the parents of these chicks, had to look similar, to have that many awful looking chicks.

so they knew what they were sending me.
