with the white spot on his head, i would say it's a Black Star/Sex Link cockerel or a barred rock, is it bantam or standard?

How can you tell from the wing tip feathers??? Can you sex chicks of any chicken breed this way? I would love to learn this trick... Please tell me how!

Ive heard there are only certain breeds that you can sex at a day old by looking at the wing tips. If all feather tips are the same length, they are roosters, and if some are short and some are long they are hens. i watched it done on dirty jobs with Mike Rowe. You can watch the whole thing on sexting chicks on YOUTUBE... and indeed, all his are the same length:D

I think this may be a barred rock, but with that white dot - Not so sure.

Barred rock roo. If I am right, the large white spot usually means it is a roo in the barred rock breed. A small white spot is usually a pullet. I hope I am right.
