McMurray order

I just have a quick question. I placed an order this morning and on it it said that chicks are delievered between Sunday and Tuesdays. Has anyone ever gotten theirs on a Sunday from your PO? I just wanted to know because for one we leave for church about 8:15am give or take. And I want to make sure I don't miss the phone call. And second, chicks won't get to local PO on a Sunday will they?

If you're nervous about it, talk to the Post Office and ask them what they prefer you do.

I've ordered several times from McMurray. My chick order has ALWAYS arrived on Wed. The Sun - Tues days are the days they actuall ship on. Not the actual delivery day. I had these same concerns.
The ONLY problem I've had was with the Post Office NOT calling for 2 days AFTER they arrived. I was very lucky they all survived.

I've ordered from them twice. The first order arrived on monday. The second order arrived on tuesday following a holiday monday.

ours have arrived Mondays only and got the call at 6 a.m. promptly. We live in New England, so about as far from McMurray as anyone . . .We love Murray McMurray! We love the P.O. too!

Mcmurray ships chicks on Saturday. The mail trucks deliver to the PO on Sundays, so if you are close to the hatchery you could get the call on Sunday. If you are any distance from them, they'll come on Monday or tuesday. I live in Washington state, and mine came on Monday morning.

My last order of chicks from MM arrived on Sunday, and the post office was nice enough to call me when they arrived, it was in the late afternoon. Good Luck with your new babies!

I am in Maine, I got my call to come to the PO at 12:40 on Sunday afternoon. I work with another girl who ordered from them and also got hers on a different Sunday.

The difference may be that the postal distribution center is the next town over from me and that is who called me, not my local PO. We are also close to one of the 2 major airports.

Strange thing is when I ordered from Ideal, the local PO was the one to call.... but that was a weekday delivery.

i got mine on a Sunday too. Not my local post office but the big one in the nearby city. Had to go around to the back door. The office was actually closed i was so caught off guard i thought for sure i would get a call on Monday had to hurry up and put the brooder together and i was so not ready it was very stressfull so be prepared for sunday.
