Has anyone ordered buff laced from them or any of the other varieties? What did you think? I'm having trouble finding local breeders of buff laced polish chickens, so I am considering ordering. The problem is- of course- it is a hatchery with a lot of different breeds, so I'm worried about good or any S.Q or B.Q birds in my order. I'm eager to start raising and showing polish, but honestly, I really prefer the buff lace or red lace.

If you've got pics I would love to see! Buff or not!

Thanks!

I bought two Golden Polish hens from Mcmurray and my free "surprise" chick turned out to be a White Crested Black roo (who we unfortunately had to re-home because we already had a king of the coop). I must say that these two hens, who I call Thelma & Louise, are the most confident birds in the flock and definitely the most entertaining and eye catching. When I want to buy from a hatchery, Murray McMurray is where I go.

This is the only picture I have.

Thank you!
Do the golden polish meet all the APA standards? When you ordered from them, how well did the chicks arrive? I'm worried about hatchery quality but I've heard mixed things. That Murray can occassionally give out great polish chicks, and some just so-so. I looked at the parent flock they have, and some of the hens look REALLY nice, but some of the Roosters are kinda meh, which I guess is where the range of feedback comes from. So I'm very curious about your goldens!
His crest is adorable!

As far as I know, they met all standards. I of course had to order a minimum of 25 so I had the two hens and then the other 23 were RIR roosters (which I sold) plus the free chick, and I had no DOA. They were such attractive little chicks with their top hats! They arrived and immediately started exploring their brooder. As far as the way my Goldens look, their crests are nice and sleek, not "spiky", I'll try to post a picture soon.

Thank you, I'd love to see pics ;D. I'm hoping if I place an order the excess chicks will be easy to place/sell, since I too need to meet the min. order.

This is Thelma. Not an excellent photo, she wasn't in a very cooperative mood.

She is very pretty! I love Black Laced Gold, you might have convinced em by the photo to get a couple just for eye candy.

Too bad your so far away xD I'd split an order with you! I just don't need 25 of these purdy birds, though I'd love to have em.
